  Hugh applied for Sons of the American Revolution on behalf of his great-grandfather (Enos Gary). He's also mentioned in "History of Dearborn, Ohio and Switzerland Counties, Indiana" (1885) as a Mason under the name Gary, and with a biography under the name Garey.
